Ghosts Season 3: Cast, Release Date and Plot Details
Introduction
Since debuting in October 2021, Ghosts has been a surprise hit with CBS viewers. Adapted from the British sitcom of the same name, the series just ran for two seasons and was renewed for a third. The sitcom quickly rose to prominence in its first two seasons, becoming one of CBS' most-watched new sitcoms on the network, averaging 7.76 million viewers per episode. According to CBS, the show's second season grew in viewership, averaging more than 9 million viewers per week on linear TV and more than 11 million across all platforms. If the numbers hold, we can probably expect Ghosts to last as long as its wildly popular British counterpart. The awaited third season is expected to bring a new dose of mystery to the Arondekar household after the end of season 2. The lead couple of the series Sam (Rose McIver) and Jay (played by Utkarsh Ambudkar) can hold. But in Woodstone, they may have lost someone from their newly formed ghost family. Viewers aren't told who it is, and that information will likely play a big part in the Season 3 plot.
When will the third season of Ghosts come out?

What Happened in Ghosts Season 2?
Ghosts season 3 should pick up right where season 2 left off. The spirits are confused when they take it upon themselves to find the person who killed Alberto about a hundred years ago. Everyone is shocked to learn that none other than Hetty's son killed Alberto to be with her boyfriend. However, things take a turn for the worse when Hetty admits that she knew the truth all along and it damages her relationship with Alberto. They reconcile after a heated discussion and subsequent punishment, but Woodstone is soon rocked by a new problem.
A new heir, whom Arondekars did not know before, arrives and claims that the inheritance belongs to him. He is supported by a fake DNA certificate provided by Dan (P.J. Byrne), a fraudulent lawyer representing the Woodstone family estate. But after discovering the self-proclaimed heir's true identity and seeing through Dan's lies, Sam and Jay manage to wrest control from Woodstone's greedy hands. As the couple breathe a sigh of relief after rescuing their precious BandB, they see a light shining from the house into the sky. This indicates that one of the ghosts has crossed over, ie. felt his guilt and was able to move to the other side. However, it is not revealed who it is (Jay desperately hopes it is Trevor) and the finale ends there.
